The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 is now live and LG just revealed the most intriguing smartphone of the year with a Dual 13 MP rear camera with wide angle lenses, latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat, built in Google Assistant, waterproof technology, Gorilla Glass on the front, back and even on the camera lenses, and much more. The LG G6 sports much more stunning features which are listed below.
Let’s start with the hardware specifications. The G6 is fitted with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor backed by whopping 4 GB of RAM and 32/64 GB of ROM. The SoC is not the latest in town but it sure does it’s work as the LG UI has been fully optimized. Moreover, the LG G6 comes with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat firmware out of the box and will sure receive the newer Android 7.1.2 once it gets out of the Public Beta program from Google.
The LG G6 dawns a 5.7 inch Quad HD display and the screen is curved on the edges making it resistant to drops. The UI is clean and resembles a lot to the LG G5 and the V20 with flat icons. The LCD display has a resolution of 2880×1440 or 564PPI and an aspect ratio of 18:9, thus making it look taller.
It comes with dual 13MP rear cameras – one with a wide angle lens at 125 degrees and another standard lens at 71 degrees. The front facing camera is a standard 5MP. The G6 is fitted wth a single bottom-firing speaker.
Other miscellaneous specification of the LG G6 includes a bigger 3300 mAh battery, a USB-C port with Quick Charge 3.0, waterproof, dust resistant, and much more. The body is compact with an IP68 grading of waterproofing technology, dust resistance, and a rear fingerprint scanner.
LG G6 comes with a built-in Google Assistant
The Google Assistant currently supports the devices running Android 7.1.1 Nougat officially like the Nexus series and the Google Pixel series. However, LG has brought the support to its flagship device.
