[Download] Android 11 Beta 2 rolling out for Google Pixel devices

Google started testing the latest Android 11 public beta just last month. While the Android 11 developer preview has been around since a couple of months now, the public build means that he AOSP sources are available for all. Indeed, some of the manufacturers like Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo, etc. have already started compiling these sources for their flagships. Today, a new Android 11 beta 2 build is rolling out for Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4. So download and install right away!

Google Pixel series gets new Android 11 public beta 2 OTA update with July 2020 security patch level, a new build number RPB2.200611.009, and Google Play services: 20.21.17. Here are all the details:

Android 11 features better user privacy protections, advanced app permissions, speech balloon Bubbles, Bubbles API, new Pixel Launcher, Pinhole, waterfall screens support, camera native image decoder and new camera features, up pointing backhand index Biometrics, support for 5G and Foldable phones. As for the Android 11 Beta 2, it “marks the Platform Stability milestone,” and includes the latest optimizations and bug fixes. It also includes behavior changes to help improve performance, battery life, security, and privacy.

Plus, we already had the Android 11 GSI build for Treble enabled devices. The GSI (generic system images) comes officially from Google as well as unofficial builds from Efran GSI developer. These GSI builds have also been updated to the latest Pixel GSI. So now you can update your Project Treble enabled Android device to v11.

Android 11 Beta 2 build RPB2.200611.009 now available for download for Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4. If you’ve already enrolled into the Android 11 Beta (from below) and are running the Beta 1.5 build, you will receive an over-the-air update (OTA) to RPB1.200504.020.
