Samsung One UI 4.0 Beta Program Release Date
The Samsung Korea Beta Operations Manager quotes “One UI 4 beta will start in September”. As we understand, the first beta update may pop up as soon as September 1, 2021 in the Samsung Members app. The registration instructions are below.
The first few devices to receive One UI 4.0 firmware update include the Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra. Followed by the latest foldable phones including the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Galaxy Z Flip 3. Finally the Galaxy Fold 2, Flip 2, Galaxy S20, Note 20 series, Galaxy S10, Note 10, and more in the upcoming months.
OneUI 4.0 beta will feature most of the Android 12 goodies and features like Privacy Dashboard, new camera and mic indicators in the status bar and quick settings, and much more. Of course, you will get all the latest features from Samsung’s OneUI 4.0 skin.
However, according to sources, the most significant change — Material You design — may not make its way to Samsung’s One UI firmware update. You see, Samsung may implement its own dynamic wallpaper-based theme engine. Or improve over its own Samsung Themes app.
One UI 4 will come to the United States region first for the Snapdragon Galaxy S21 variants, followed by the global variants with Exynos chipset for regions like Germany, India, China, and later to the entire Europe and Asia.
