Google updated the Pixel camera app to GCAM v8.8 with quality-of-life features such as faster Night Sight mode, Magic Eraser upgrade for free on all Pixel phones, and improved image quality. GCAM 8.8 is now available for download on all the latest Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 11, 12, 13, and 14.

Google Camera 8.8 comes with the latest March 2023 feature drop. Latest GCAM 8.8 modified by the developer Shamim is also now available for download for Samsung Galaxy phones. This Google Camera version is SGCAM 8.8 and can support both the Snapdragon and Exynos processors.

SGCAM 8.8 brings fixes for the video mode, front camera crashes, and bugs related to Exynos devices. Additionally, the dev has written new modification codes to make GCam 8.8 compatible with Samsung devices, ensuring users enjoy all the app’s features.

One of the significant updates in GCAM 8.8 is its support for Android 11+ devices, which means that users with the latest Android version 13, 12, 11, or even older can now enjoy the benefits of the Google camera app. This support is particularly crucial for Samsung users, as the older phones still run on Android 11.

Shamim’s GCam 8.8 also supports the c2api (camera2API) full and hal3 devices allowing users to take full advantage of their phone hardware.

Furthermore, it retains all the features of GCam 8.7, including support for auxiliary cameras. Meaning, you can use secondary camera lenses on your Android device. Users can use telephoto and ultra-wide lenses alongside the standard camera lens.
