Apple just announced the Apple Event named Wonderlust which will feature the next-gen iPhones and a bunch of products ranging from Apple Watch Series 9, new AirPods Pro, and more. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro series smartphones will launch on September 12, 2023. Apple canceled the Mini variant and categorized the new smartphones into the iPhone 15 series and the iPhone 15 Pro series with an addition of Plus variant. The iPhone 15 Plus will have a larger display and battery capacity. The specifications are the same as the entry-level variant iPhone 15.

The new Apple smartphones come in two variants a 6.2-inch iPhone 14 model and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus and may start at just $799.

Most importantly, the entire iPhone 15 series may feature a Type-C port for the first time. So stay tuned!

iPhone 15 (Plus) Specifications

The regular iPhone 15 and 1Phone 15 Plus may feature Dynamic Island this time, the same as last year’s iPhone 14 Pro variants. It may also feature a A16 bionic SoC and dawn 5 new colors. Upgraded camera system with larger sensor and wider aperture. New 12mp selfie camera with autofocus.

iPhone 15 (Pro) Specifications

A significant design shift happened last year with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max wherein Apple introduced a new design for the selfie camera called Dynamic Island. The selfie camera cutout in the shape of a pill which can be converted to Pill + Hole and a tray. It houses the Face ID components and a second circular cutout for the front-facing camera. Apple calls this system the Dynamic Island.

The new iPhone 15 series will receive iOS 17, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 during this event. These updates will likely be released the week of September 12, while iPadOS 17 and macOS are slated to be released in October.
