That’s not all! Meta is testing a new Transfer chat history without using Google Drive! You can now present a Scanner code from old phone and point the camera from a new phone to get WhatsApp transfer happen.
This skips the headache of backing up and downloading from Google Drive. Also, Gdrive backups don’t always restore. Moreover, Meta may be testing a backup option on Meta servers instead of Google Drive. Like most other big software companies.
