Apple just released iOS 18 with AI integration, for the first time, and they have a name for it too — Apple Intelligence. It is Samsung turn to unveil their upcoming One UI 7.0 software update based on Android 15. The firm also announced Galaxy Unpacked July 2024 event named Galaxy AI Is Here set for 3 p.m. CEST, 6 a.m. PDT, 9 a.m. EDT. As the name suggests, Galaxy AI 2.0 is here alongside the launch of Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

iOS 18 poses a greater threat to Samsung phones, as it features tons of customization options, AI features for Siri, and even ChatGPT integration! However, Samsung still has a lot to offer with the upcoming One UI 7.0 software update for Galaxy devices.

Samsung is expected to go all in with Galaxy AI this time. While One UI 6.1 already has AI features, many of them are not quite practical and used only by enthusiasts. For a more practical usage, Samsung will need to offer AI features for everyone.

Samsung will introduce Galaxy AI 2.0 with One UI 7.0 later this year. You can expect AI integrations for many Samsung apps including Samsung Photos, Camera, Gallery, Editor, Bixby, and more.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be first to receive One UI 7.0 beta program later in August 2024, once Google releases the stable version of Android 15.

Similar to Samsung’s latest One UI 6.1 firmware update, One UI 7.0 will also feature a dedicated section for Advanced Intelligence (based on AI) for all the components including Phone, Samsung Keyboard, Photo Editor, Interpreter, Samsung Notes, Internet browser, and many more.
