Nothing Tech is preparing Android 15 beta program for the Phone 2. While that comes to stable channel, the firm released their monthly software update with build Nothing OS 2.6 for the Phone (2) featuring is now rolling out with some new quality of life features, several enhancements and bug fixes. The Nothing Phone 2 is receiving the most anticipated Nothing OS 2.6, the same software update which will be featured in the upcoming CMF Phone 1. At the time of writing, Nothing updated the changelog on their community forum page. The first version said a new swipable Date Widget. The changelog may be from the new CMF Phone 1 releasing with NOS 2.6.
The update adds support for displaying the battery level of CMF Watches directly in the Quick Settings Bluetooth tile, making it easier for users to monitor their watch’s battery status. It added support for deleting wallpaper history in Wallpaper Studio.
Huge updates come to Game Mode like Quick Access to Game Dashboard. Users can now tap the left sidebar during games to quickly access the Game Dashboard. Incoming calls during gameplay can now be displayed in a pop-up. The update supports rejecting calls from third-party apps during gameplay.
As for the bug fixes, WhatsApp Voice and Call Recording have been improved. Resolved an issue affecting voice and call recording in WhatsApp.

How to Install Nothing OS full OTA update zip for Nothing Phone?
- Go to “Settings > About phone > Software info” to confirm that your system has been updated to the latest version (Nothing OS 2.0). If not, please go to “Settings > System > System update” to check for updates.
- Download the latest software update package.
- Create a folder named “ota” (without the quotes) at the root of the internal storage. Meaning outside every folder.
- Copy the OTA update ZIP file from above to that folder.
- Open the phone app and Dial

- The local update tool should launch.
- In the drop-down list that appears, select the upgrade package you just copied.
- Tap the “Directly apply OTA from selection” button to start updating.
- Reboot your device after the upgrade process is complete.
- A pop-up will appear asking if you would like to reboot your device. We strongly recommend selecting “Confirm” here, as upgrades require a reboot to enter the new version.
