Blackmagic Camera 2.0 Update: Control iPad, iPhone, and Android all at the same time
Blackmagic Design just released a new update to the popular Blackmagic Camera with version 2.0. It finally supports the entire iPad range from Apple. You can now capture professional quality videos using your iPad and iPhone alike. Blackmagic Camera is a tough competitor to Apple’s newly released Final Cut Camera App, especially with the newly added feature that brings support for controlling multiple phones with Blackmagic Camera.
The Blackmagic Design Twitter (X) account just posted about the new update, stating:
Blackmagic Camera for iOS 2.0! Get support for remotely controlling and monitoring multiple phones at the same time, a new option to select multiple clips for copying or deleting, as well as support for iPad! Download now from Apple App Store.
The support for controlling multiple phones in Blackmagic Camera was the most anticipated update. Additionally, Blackmagic adds the option to monitor multiple phone captures remotely. This is best for recording in multiple angles using your phones, record, switch, and edit it in real time.
The best part is Blackmagic Camera app is now available for all iPad including the iPad Pros, iPad Air, and possibly the original iPad. IN addition to this, HD captures are now possible at 100fps on iPhone 15 Pro. A new select all option when selecting multiple clips has been added. General performance and stability improvements mean compatibility with new Android phones, iPhone, and iPads as well.
The new 2.0 update is now live for iPhones and Pads on the Apple App Store. Blackmagic Camera for Android 2.0 will be released soon with the full features listed below.
