Download Google Pixel Camera 9.4 for Pixel Phones and Wear OS
Google seems to be maintaining two versions of the popular Pixel Camera app, formerly Google Camera app, with versions 9.4 and v9.5. The newer Pixel Camera 9.5 comes with top of the line features from the Pixel 9 Pro launch event like Reimagine with Magic Editor, Super Res Zoom Video, 8K Video Boost, and more listed below. Pixel Camera 9.4.103.65 is now available for download for all Pixel phones and Wear OS devices.
The popular GCAM just got another minor update today, possibly enabling some new features announced at the Pixel 9 series launch event. Some AI features may also be integrated for the previous gen devices. Once Google Nano gets implemented with upcoming Pixel Feature Drop, the AI features from Pixel 9 Pro will be put into effect for previous generation phones.
The previous gen Pixels are also receiving the update like the Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, 6, 6Pro, 6a, and more.
The latest update of Pixel Camera now has separate Night Mode and Astrophotography mode activation option. You can now manually activate Astrophotography mode whenever you want.
Previously, this mode was only accessible automatically when the device detected it was stationary, typically requiring a tripod or stable surface.
Now, users can easily enable Astrophotography mode themselves by following these simple steps:
- Open Night Sight mode and access the quick settings.
- Enable the Astrophotography option.
- Adjust the Night Sight duration slider to the new “Astro” setting (far right).
Upon activation, a 5-second timer starts automatically, giving you time to position your device securely and frame your celestial shot. This timer can be disabled if preferred.
This update makes Pixel’s night photography better. Users can take more spontaneous and creative pictures of the celestial bodies.
It also includes updates from the previous Pixel Camera 9.4 update from June Feature Drop brought two useful features, including Select Best Photo and Manual Camera Lens Selection. With the new Google Camera, you can manually select which camera lens to use in the main Photo mode, ranging from Ultrawide, Wide, to Telephoto. Another great feature is the automatic selection of the portrait photo. The camera will identify the best photo, so you don’t need to retake photos every time.
