The most anticipated Nothing OS 3.0 firmware update is just around the corner. The full changelog and feature list of Nothing OS 3.0 has been leaked, featuring Android 15 and tons of new UI improvements.

Nothing has thanked the closed beta testers of Nothing OS 3.0 adding that they are introducing new features specific to Nothing OS, paired with elements from Android 15. The firm will also be rolling out more updates with additional features soon with public or open betas. As for what’s new, Nothing OS 3.0 brings a host of new features and improvements to enhance the user experience. The lock screen has received a refreshed Clock face design, with the ability to enter the customization page by long-pressing the lock screen.

Customization options have been expanded, with a new feature to reset the home screen layout to Nothing’s default style via a simple tap on the top-right button on the customization page. Storage management has been improved with the addition of an auto-archive function, which automatically frees up space without removing apps or data from the device.

Screen sharing capabilities have been enhanced, with the option to record just an app window rather than the entire screen. The settings interface has been refreshed for a more intuitive user experience, and the setup wizard has been updated to version 3.0 for a smoother introduction. Additionally, predictive back animations have been enabled for apps that have opted in.

Camera enhancements are a significant part of this update. Portrait effects have been optimized by fine-tuning blur intensity based on face size. Low-light performance has been boosted, and vertical stripes in front video and time-lapse modes have been removed. The user interface after countdown photos has been smoothened, and the zoom slider display has been regulated.

Several experience improvements have been implemented, including an optimized design for the fingerprint unlock dialog and refined gesture navigation on the home screen for better sensitivity. Battery life has been extended with the introduction of a Network Power Save Mode.

Lastly, the security patch has updated to September 2024, ensuring users have the latest protection. The update size for Nothing OS 3.0 is 1.82 GB, reflecting the substantial improvements and new features included in this release.
