Download Samsung Health App v6.28: Health records, Medications Tracking, and Food Intake Monitor

Samsung pushed the biggest update to the health app for all, making it easier to track your health. The significant update to Samsung Health app, released today, introduces groundbreaking features managing electronic medical record, (EMR) Advanced Medications Tracking, and Smart Food Tracking. This will change how users interact with their health data, manage medications, and track their nutrition through their smartphones. Here are all the details about the new Samsung Health app version 6.28 or later.
What’s New in Samsung Health App v6.28?
The update has been classified into three categories:
- Unified Health Records Access
- Enhanced Medications Tracking

1. Unified Health Records Access
At the core of this update lies the new Health Records feature, which addresses one of healthcare’s most persistent challenges — the fragmentation of medical information. Through a strategic partnership with b.well Connected Health, users can now access their medical records from various healthcare providers in one secure location. This integration supports major EMR systems, including athenahealth, Cerner Health, Epic Systems, and Veradigm, allowing users to view their complete health history, vaccination records, prescription details, and past hospital visits all in one place. This consolidated approach simplifies health management and also enables more effective communication with healthcare providers.

Here is everything you can access through Samsung’s Health Records feature:
- Access medical records from multiple healthcare providers
- View their complete health history in one secure location
- Track vaccination records
- Monitor prescription history
- Access past hospital visits and test results
This integration supports major EMR systems including:
- athenahealth
- Cerner Health
- Epic Systems
- Veradigm®
2. Enhanced Medications Tracking
The Medications tracking feature, which has already proven its value with remarkable engagement rates in the U.S. market, is expanding both in functionality and geographical reach. This expansion now reaches South Korea and India.
According to Samsung, About two-thirds of U.S. users currently access this feature at least three times weekly, demonstrating its practical utility in daily health management.
The enhanced version introduces visual pill bottle scanning, an intuitive dashboard for monitoring adherence levels, and detailed dosage scheduling. With strategic partnerships bringing market-specific benefits: Elsevier in the U.S. provides warnings for over 960 types of allergies, KPIC in Korea offers pregnancy-related medication warnings, and Tata 1mg in India facilitates online medication refills.

The Medications tracking feature brings the following capabilities:
- Visual pill bottle scanning
- Intuitive medication dashboard
- Adherence level monitoring
- Detailed dosage scheduling
- Missed dose tracking
Geographic Expansion:
- Now available in South Korea and India
- Partnership with regional leaders:
- Elsevier (US) – Covering 960+ types of allergies
- Korea Pharmaceutical Information Center (KPIC)

3. Smart Food Tracking
Perhaps one of the most practical additions to the app is the new barcode scanning feature in the Food tracker. Through a partnership with fatsecret, a leading provider of verified food and nutrition data, users can now simply scan food barcodes to automatically log detailed nutritional information. This feature, initially available in the U.S. and select European countries including France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Poland, represents a significant step forward in making nutritional tracking more accessible and accurate.
