November 2024 Security Update for Nothing Phone 1 Now Available For Download

Nothing Tech began the Nothing OS 2.0 Open Beta test for Phone 2a and Phone 2 featuring Android 15. While the Phone 1 will also receive Android 15 beta, it will come next month. Meanwhile, the users on stable version continue to receive monthly security updates. Nothing Phone 1 is now receiving the latest November 2024 security patch with some general improvements and bug fixes.

Nothing Phone 1 users are starting to receive the third Nothing OS 2.6 update based on Android 14 via stable channel. This is a small update weighing 35 MB in size with some bug fixes like connectivity issues with VoLTE, system lag issue when rapidly switching the network tile in Quick Settings. It also fixed Bluetooth scanning issue, and brought a small camera improvement where photos taken at 2.0x zoom or higher didn’t display detail information.

The most important aspect of the update is the latest security patch from November 2024. According to Google’s November 2024 patch notes, it brings a ton of improvements to Bluetooth, camera, display & graphics, sensors, touch, and more.
