Windows 11 ARM64 ISO Now Available For Download Directly From Microsoft Servers

Microsoft released the most anticipated Windows 11 24H2 build earlier last month focused on performance, compatibility with more fixed AMD and Nvidia GPU issues, and tons of bug fixes. The Windows 11 24H2 is one of the most stable builds so far and Windows 10 users can be confident in switching to the next gen OS for PCs.

As we reported earlier, the Windows 11 24H2 update officially released on October 1, 2024, with official build seeding on Microsoft servers as well. The ARM64 versions can be installed on ARM based PCs like Snapdragon X Elite, featuring all the Copilot + Recall features.

Windows 11 has expanded its compatibility to include ARM64 architecture, which allows it to run on devices powered by ARM processors. This transition is of importance as ARM devices are known for their power efficiency, leading to longer battery life while maintaining good performance. The ARM architecture integrates various components such as CPUs, GPUs, and network capabilities into a single System on Chip (SoC), enhancing performance and efficiency in mobile and portable devices.

The best part is Windows 11 supports running unmodified x64 applications on ARM devices, in addition to the existing capability to run x86 applications. This cross-platform support ensures that major existing software can run on ARM64 systems.

For whatever reason, if you are looking for the Windows 11 ARM64 ISOs, Microsoft is seeding the ISOs on their servers. The requirements are you need a 64-bit ARM-based processor + Windows 11’s minimum system requirements.

As for the features, the update is termed AI PCs, as it packs tons of AI features including Copilot + Recall. However, they are restricted to Copilot+PCs only. For regular PC, the Windows 11 update brings the following:

Windows Intelligence: Microsoft is rebranding AI on Windows 11. Upcoming update to AI apps like MS Paint, Photos will be featured first in Windows 11 Arm64.
Copilot: Microsoft’s Copilot is an AI-powered assistant, backed by ChatGPT, integrated into Windows 11, aimed at enhancing productivity and user experience.
Recall: The Recall feature in Windows 11, specifically designed for Copilot+ PCs, is an AI-powered tool that enables users to easily find and revisit previous activities on their computers. It acts like a virtual photographic memory, allowing users to search for content they have interacted with, including applications, documents, and websites.
Live Captions with translation: Live captions will be able to translate spoken language in real-time.
Improved Context Menu: The context menu will now include labels to easily identify what each button does, addressing user feedback .
Wi-Fi 7 Support: Windows 11 24H2 includes support for Wi-Fi 7, which promises faster and more reliable wireless connectivity.
Scrollable Quick Settings Menu: Users can now scroll through the quick settings menu to access more options.
7-Zip and TAR Archives in File Explorer: Users can create 7-zip and TAR archives directly in File Explorer.
“Sudo” Command: The “sudo” command is now available in Windows 11, allowing users to run commands with elevated privileges.
HDR Background Support: Windows 11 24H2 includes support for HDR backgrounds, enhancing the visual quality of the operating system.
Other Changes: The update includes various other improvements and bug fixes, such as a new Energy Saver mode, Windows Protected Print Mode, and enhanced testing tools for sound settings .
