Good Lock 2025: Latest Features and Availability for One UI 7 Android 15

Samsung rolled out One UI 7 Beta Program based on Android 15 for the Galaxy S24 series, and will be followed by Galaxy S23, S22, and more this month. While most of the Samsung apps have already been updated, big changes are coming to Good Lock in One UI 7 and hence the development has been delayed. Samsung Forum moderator has revealed everything about the Good Lock One UI 7 update, ahead of release.

Samsung community moderator also posted One UI 7.0 Good Lock release schedule as well as what’s to come. Regarding the 15 Good Lock apps, they are now available on One UI 7.0 beta firmware. However, 7 apps including LockStar, Home Up, NavStar, NotiStar, QuickStar, MultiStar, Clockface, which are closely connected to the system, and are always being carefully updated and will be available starting January 2025. The first apps to be released an updated are MultiStar and One Hand Operation+.

However, Home Up and LockStar, which have many new features and major structural changes, may be slightly delayed as they are undergoing thorough internal testing.

Finally, and most importantly, Good Lock can officially be downloaded from the Play Store support and will be available globally across all countries.

Starting with One UI 7.0 Good Lock, Good Lock can be downloaded from the Play Store as well as the Galaxy Store, and Good Lock can be downloaded in all countries.

Good Lock 2025 Features and Changelog

The main Good Lock app is receiving a substantial overhaul to improve user experience. With the suite now offering 23 different functions, the development team has focused on making the interface more intuitive and user-friendly. A new search and filter system will help users quickly find specific features and related posts, while a dedicated “My Page” tab will provide centralized management of Good Lock settings and widgets.

Home Up emerges as one of the most significantly updated modules in this release. Users can now place items freely on their home screen without grid constraints, customize gesture animations with multi-finger support, and enjoy enhanced folder customization options. The update also brings improved Edge panel functionality and extended Taskbar customization specifically designed for foldable devices and tablets. Notably, users can now set up Home Up features directly from One UI Home, streamlining the customization process.

The introduction of Game Booster Plus to the Good Lock family brings powerful gaming-focused features. Users can now remap gamepad keys, optimize GPU settings for better performance, and manually categorize apps as games to receive gaming-specific device optimizations.

LockStar has been reimagined with a more seamless integration into the system lock screen editor, addressing user feedback about the previous disconnected experience. Wonderland now supports separate wallpaper applications for lock screen and home screen, while Theme Park introduces custom folder icon support and expanded app icon shape options.

The new Routine Gallery creates a community-driven space where users can share and discover custom routines, integrating with both Mode & Routine and Routine+ features. This social aspect adds a new dimension to Good Lock’s customization capabilities, allowing users to learn from and inspire each other.

MultiStar, Pentastic, QuickStar, and Camera Assistant all receive meaningful updates as well. Notable additions include enhanced Cover Launcher accessibility for Flip devices, custom Air Command icon support, multi-user icon management, and external storage support for video recording.

  • Enhanced Home Up accessibility: You can intuitively set up the Home Up function on One UI Home without running the Home Up app.
  • Free Home Item Placement:
    You can freely place items on the home screen without grid constraints.
  • Home screen stickers: You can decorate your home screen to your taste using stickers.
  • Gesture animation tuning and multi-finger gestures:
    Freely tune the home gesture animations to use gestures the way you want.
    You can perform gesture actions anywhere on the screen with multiple fingers (multi-touch).
  • Hide Favorites: Hide favorites to make your home screen more spacious and tidy.
  • Custom folders and free placement of app buttons:
    You can set more diverse pop-up folder and folder icon sizes, and freely place app buttons.
  • Edge panel customization:
    New customization features are provided to make the Edge panel more convenient to use, such as viewing more items and scrolling the recent apps area.
  • Taskbar Customization: (Fold/Tablet) Provides various editing functions such as changing the order of app icons in the Taskbar and adding more.

Game Booster +

To make your gaming experience more enjoyable, the Game Booster team has joined Good Lock.

  • Change game category:
    You can change the category of apps that were not classified as games and therefore did not receive related support to games, allowing you to receive game-related support provided by the device.
  • Gamepad key remapping feature:
    You can remap the keys on your gamepad to any other key you want.
  • GPU Settings (Rotation Optimization / Texture Quality):
    You can reduce the GPU load used for screen rotation in Vulkan games or change the quality of textures used in the game to improve image quality or performance.

LockStar

Provide a consistent lock screen editing experience:
Many of you have complained about the inconvenience caused by the structure being separate from the lock screen, so we have prepared a natural extension of the LockStar function to enable editing within the lock screen editing screen.

Routine Gallery (Feat. Galaxy To Share)

We have created a new space for those of you who want to show off your routines that are too good to keep to yourself.
Routine Gallery:
You can edit and apply routines created by other Galaxy users to suit you, or share useful routines you have created so that others can use them. You
can check them in ‘Mode & Routine’ and ‘Routine +’.

Wonderland

  • Separate application to lock screen/home screen:
    There were many people who wanted to apply the Wonderland wallpaper only to the lock screen or home screen. Based on these people’s opinions, we now support application to the lock screen/home screen separately.
  • Improved text color visibility:
    App icon titles and status bar colors automatically change according to the main color of the background screen, improving visibility.

MultiStar

Launch Cover Launcher from Lab:
Provides a path to launch MultiStar’s Cover Launcher function from the ‘Labs’ menu on your Flip device, allowing you to utilize the cover screen more effectively.

Theme park

  • Folder Icon Support:
    This is a feature many of you have been requesting. Now, when applying an icon pack, you can customize the shape of the folder icon to match the app icon.
  • Custom app icon shape:
    In addition to the 11 basic preset app icon shapes, you can specify the icon shape with an image of your choice.
  • Expanded sticker/wallpaper picker content: You can now use a wider variety of stickers and wallpapers when decorating Good Lock.

Customize Air Command Icon:
You can set the Air Command icon to any image you want.

QuickStar

Hide multi-user icon:
You can hide the multi-user icon that is visible to multi-phone users on the lock screen.

Camera Assistant

Save videos to external storage:
Automatically save videos to external storage connected to your device’s USB-C port.
