Home Up 16 Features
Home Up in particular got the biggest update this year, which is designed to enhance home screen functionality. It has been a favorite among Samsung power users for years. However, the leaked version for One UI 7 suggests that Samsung is doubling down on customization, offering an unprecedented level of control over animations, gestures, and layout options.
Here are some of the features:
Advanced Animation Settings
One of the most striking features of the new HomeUp is the extensive animation settings. Users can now fine-tune various aspects of their home screen animations, including:
- Icons
- Wallpaper
- Home Screen
- Home gesture animation tuning
- App opening and closing animations
- Folder animations
You can even change every element of the animation and duration as well. Here are the animation tweaks.
- Damping You can change the damping of the icon move animation. The smaller the value, the greater the elasticity.
- Stiffness You can change the stiffness of the icon move animation. The larger the value, the faster it moves.
- Friction You can change the friction of the icon move animation. The larger the value, the faster it stops.
- Interpolator You can change the interpolator of the icon scale animation
- Tracking position You can change the icon tracking position. The larger the value, it targets top position of the icon.
- Scale You can change the max scale of the wallpaper animation.
- Duration You can change the duration of the wallpaper animation. The unit is seconds.
- Home screen Scale You can change the min or max scale of the home screen animation. If it is smaller than 1, the home screen is reduced, and if it is greater than 1, the home screen is enlarged.
- Home screen Duration
- You can change the duration of the home screen animation. The unit is seconds.
These settings allow users to adjust the speed, style, and overall feel of their device’s interface, creating a truly personalized experience.
Home Gesture Animation Tuning
The leaked Home Up module puts a strong emphasis on gesture controls, allowing users to fine-tune the responsiveness and behavior of swipe actions. This shows Samsung’s commitment to providing a fluid, intuitive user experience.
Folders
The app folder is getting a significant upgrade in One UI 7:
- Large Folders: A new option for those who prefer a more spacious layout.
- Pop-up Folders: These folders open in a floating window, keeping your home screen clean and organized.
- 2×2 Folders: A compact option that maximizes space efficiency without sacrificing functionality.
The leaker also revealed new folder options coming to Home Up
If the leaked Home Up module is any indication, One UI 7 is set to redefine what users can expect from a stock Android experience. By offering granular control over animations, gestures, and layout options, Samsung is blurring the line between stock and custom launchers.
In addition, you get all the usual customization features like home screen folders with new pop up style, background blur, page looping in app drawer, and more. You can choose from various layouts for the home screen, apps and folders. You can also add page looping in Apps. Customize folder popup styles and layouts and much more.
- Use various layouts in home screen, apps and folder.
- Diversify background Blur effect.
