Stable One UI 7 Released with BYD9 Build! Download OTA Now

Samsung has been teasing the most awaited One UI 7 firmware update release date for months now; with an active release date set for April 25. However, the electronics giant seems to keep up with the official announcement. Starting today, April 23, 2025, the stable One UI 7 software update has officially kicked off for users already on the final One UI 7 beta program.

The One UI 7 Open Beta official concludes for the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, S24 Ultra, and soon for Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Users already on the beta program should start receiving the stable One UI 7 OTA update with firmware build number BYD9 featuring Android 15’s latest April 2025 security patch.

The OTA transition from beta to stable update is just 466 MB in size, which suggest that the final One UI 7 beta was almost stable with all the features implemented in the final beta firmware. The stable BYD9 seem to just be hotfix for some critical bugs and the latest security patches from Android OS.

The update is live globally including the United States, the UK, Germany, and several European countries, India, UAE, etc.

Here’s what the Samsung beta program completion message states:

We are very grateful to all of you for your positive and active participation in One UI Beta program. This update is the official version, which will end the Beta program.

  • After completion of Beta program: –
  • We are not going to release any new Beta software version.
  • We are no longer going to provide any official reply to your opinion.
  • Beta feedback usage will be stopped.

You will not be able to see reviews, suggestions, and tips uploaded in the Samsung Members application in Beta section by other users once your software is updated to the official version. If you have any improvement proposal or there is an issue that needs to be resolved after the official software update, you can still submit your comment using the Samsung Members application.
Beta users must update to the official version. There is no continuous update of the future official version to the personnel who continue to use beta binaries after beta close.

One UI 7 will begin rolling out on April 7, expanding to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the following weeks, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, the Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

While Samsung did roll out One UI 7 on April 7, it was quickly paused due to some critical bugs. While Samsung hasn’t listed the critical bugs yet, you can still update your Galaxy device using OTA update. How to update your Samsung Galaxy device to Stable One UI 7?

If you own the Galaxy S24 series device, simply visit phone Settings > Software update > Download and install > Check for OTA updates.

If you are feeling impatient, you can download the full OTA update or full stock firmware right now and install it onto your device.
